About my teaching

Ashley has been teaching in Australia and internationally for over thirty years. Beginning his teaching at the University of Wollongong teaching Art Theory in Creative Arts. Ashley then moved to set up his company Theme Media, where he offered artist residencies to Australian and international artists in Antarctica and the Arctic. Ashley also participated in residencies himself teaching painting and photography aboard expedition ships in the Polar regions. For the last six years, Ashley has taught painting, drawing and printmaking at ArtEst art school in Sydney, Waverley Art School, Hazelhurst Arts Centre and Lane Cove Gallery. He has also run art workshops at Bundanon Trust in the Shoalhaven and Fowlers Gap in regional NSW.
